Futures trading forums and discussion are the lifeblood of online trading. Traders tend to be solitary which is not a natural condition, so a bit of time spent exchanging gossip and trading strategies with your fellow traders on a futures forum is a welcome break in the trading day. Most traders will eventually find their way to a futures trading forum, and some stay as lurkers for years. Valuable information can sometimes be gleaned: for example, during Hurricane Katrina one of the posters on the Coffee Futures Forum posted about the weather which proved remarkably accurate.

big newsgroup listing with huge archives. Very touchy bunch of traders, some of them. Makes a person wonder if they'd be more at home at misc.guerilla.warfare or similar. You learn whose posts to avoid. Lots of spam, but lots of good info too.

Great site for Ken Roberts students. When the old Softrade forum had a melt down, the main posters on their Ken Roberts forum got together and formed this new one. Interesting moderation policy, and you won't be spammed by vendors, either.
